About Me
I started karting in 2012 racing maxterino. I now still race karts and race on main circuit where I race GTi challenge class A and VW polo cup. For hobbies I enjoy watersports such as; wakeboarding and ski’ing I also recently started doing some RC-Racing for fun. My dad used to do power boat racing and has gotten colors for Slalom ski and so on. As I would say, speed is in my blood what got me to race was that I watched F1 since I was small and used to race with my toy cars around the house and eventually went to the track to drive a kart and there the bug kicked in leading me to where I am today.

My Journey
Jason Coetzee is a highly accomplished South African racing driver, competing under the prestigious Toyota Gazoo Junior Academy banner. With a career spanning over a decade, Jason has established himself as a formidable force in motorsport since first taking to the track in 2013.
Throughout his racing journey, he has clinched multiple South African, Western Province, and Northern Region championships, proving his dominance in the sport. His dedication and skill have also earned him Protea Colours for Motorsport, a prestigious recognition of his excellence on both national and international stages.
As he continues to push the limits on the track, Jason remains a rising star in South African motorsport, striving for even greater achievements in his racing career.

My CAREER
2012
Kart Racing in Maxterino – Won Rookie of the Year
2013
Started my career in National racing for the first time and came 6th overall in my first year.
2014
I won the South African National Championship in the class called Maxterino which I started in. The Maxterino is a 60cc Kart. I also won a ticket to the Grand Finals in Valencia Spain.
2015
Moved up to the bigger class which is Junior Max. I came 3rd overall in the National Championship and also went to Italy to go race in Junior Rok which I raced 2 events (Biggest Bridgestone cup) and the World Finals event. In the Bridgestone cup I came 3rd in the Prefinal and then got taken out in the final. In the World finals I also got taken out.
2016
- Won the Western Province Regional Championship.
- Raced in the CIK FIA World Finals
2017
- Won the Western Province Regional Championship.
- Raced in the Rotax World Finals in Portugal.
2018
Won the Western Province Regional Championship.
2019
I started racing Main Circuit in 2019 and started in GTi Challenge Class C where I have won multiple races.
2020
Moved onto Gti Challenge Class A where I participated in 2 events and came 2nd overall in both of the events and was very competitive.
2021
I am planning to race GTi Challenge Class A, Karting Nationals as well as Oettinger Polo Cup
