2014 South African Maxterino karting champion Jason Coetzee started karting in that class two years earlier. Jason stepped up to Junior Max the following year and has been a regular winner in that class since and leads the 2016 WP Regional Championship.
Then; 15 year old Belville lightie, Jason who was in Grade 9 at DF Malan High School. His dreams is of one day winning a world title in karting before going on to race at higher levels, but this year it’s all about racing in four classes with a view to making it into a Rotax Max and an OK Karting World Final this year. Jason is racing both Junior and Senior max as well as OK and OKJ classes in the Rok Series.
His racing hero is Max Verstappen and Jason rates Jeremy Clarkson as his hero outside of racing; he enjoys a good braai with wors and chops and likes to sip ice tea.
